So, today is Children's Day in Mexico, and that made me think of all the things that I used to love back then (and I still do, to be honest). Here's a few, in a "infographic" thingy, kind of:
On the left side:
-White Rain Shampoo (coconut): Didn't care much about how good the product actually was, but damn, it smelled good!.
-Ruffles Hot Dog and Pau Pau: Who still remember "Ruffles of the world"? There was a New York edition and surprise surprise, it had hog dog flavor. It was so artificial. So good. If you live in the UK and are curious, Walkers Max Paprika taste exactly the same. Pau Pau was our mexican equivalent of Capri Sun. Yum. I also remember Flippy, too bad that didn't last long in the market :(
-Suspenders, braces, whatever you might call them where essential in my wardrobe (for some reason) but this dress was THE dress. I also used to love biker shorts. God why.
-Saddle shoes. And Glittery Jellies. And a pair of weird sneakers I had with a weird glow in the dark alien. And I think my dad was sponsored by Nike or something because since I can remember every now and then he would come back home with new Nikes (for himself and me). So Nikes were the official childhood shoe for me. But those saddle shoes!.
Right side:
-I had one of those "my first Sony" thingys and I loved it. I think my mom still has it and yes, still works!. So musically I wasn't that refined, I absolutely adored the Lion King soundtrack and Salt n Pepa "upside down". I still do.
-Ok, so I had this Barbie, and I gave her a military haircut of some sort. I shaved her head basically. I stole black electrical tape from my dad's tool box and made her a "dress" that it was supposed to be a leather dress. She was my "Rockstar Barbie". She went on tour and everything.
-Polly Pocket: Ok, my mom used to HATE them, because she used to say they were expensive and silly and too damn tiny. But that was the whole point!
-Basketball: We used to have a basketball hoop in the backyard and I used to play at school. I was the tallest girl in my class and maybe the coach thought that could come in handy, but truth be told, I sucked.
what are the things from your childhood that you remember the most?

I don't know
Yesterday I decided that I was going to have a laid back day and do absolutely nothing.
It was nice the first couple of hours, but then it got BORING. What happened next, is that I was left with a sort of "hangover" and feeling uninspired (can't find another word for that). It is hard to get back on track, now I hold a pen and can't really doodle as much as I would like to, nothing seems to come out right!
Does it happen to you? how do you bounce back? :) happy tuesday!.

magic bun
![]() |
| uhm?... |
For those who have straight hair and wish to have more volume/waves, the top bun might be the solution to your problem!
Twist your hair and wrap it around itself (if that makes any sense) and voila, magic bun!. Go to bed and you'll have pretty decent, subtle waves in the morning. Works best with dry hair (I've found). I would also recommend to mousse/hair spray your hair before and after.
But, why am I writing about this nonsense? I really don't have the answer to that, just felt like sharing this for some unknown reason. But, beware, this undo is addictive; it will release you from all those tedious moments in which your long hair gets in the way/face, so you might never go back to your old hair styling ways... Beware...
